When you need to be heard ...
WHAT I OFFER
“When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen.”
― Ernest Hemingway
I am trained to use a variety of therapeutic approaches so that, together, we can work out what will be best for you. In simple terms though, I listen. I really listen to you and I apply my experience and knowledge to guide you in uncovering your own solutions and improving your self-awareness.
I treat you respectfully, acknowledge your uniqueness, and encourage you to see and value who you really are and what you need.
I offer short term and long term therapies. Short courses are typically 8 - 12 weeks. Longer term contracts, for clients who would benefit from more in depth therapy, can extend for any period of time beyond this 12 weeks.
I see my private practice clients either face to face in a designated space in my home in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, or online via a Zoom link. Online therapy is a growing area and offers a different experience to both parties. Some clients benefit from the convenience while others feel that something is lost. We would discuss your preferences and feelings before any therapy could begin.
Counselling works best when its regular and, because of this, I would encourage weekly attendance. Leaving longer times between sessions can really impede on any progress, however I understand all situations are different and some clients require more flexibility.
I offer a free 15 minute pre-arranged telephone consultation for you to ask any questions and for us to assess whether we would want to work together. It is really important to the therapy that you can build a relationship of trust and honesty with your therapist, so please listen to that gut instinct and let me know if you think we're not the right fit.
£50 per hour. I also have some slots available at a concessionary rate of £40 for NHS staff and emergency services personnel, as well as those on low incomes. These spaces are limited and in demand so I operate a waiting list system.
