Lots of us are feeling overwhelmed by our emotions at the moment. I recently compared my own feelings to a cordial that I needed to dilute, because everything felt too intense. When this happens, I always find that it helps to dig a little deeper into my feelings rather than trying to push them away. Accepting that I'm sad is one thing, but digging down and noticing that I'm lonely or feeling isolated can be the spur I need to reach out to friends. Even if you can't identify an action that will help, simply feeling things and letting them pass is often far more effective than trying not to feel them. So ask yourself how you feel, and then keep digging. Maybe even write them down. It's possible that you'll spot a pattern.
